St. Ambrose University Library’s Edible Book Festival
Thursday, October 4, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Three simple rules:
1. Entries must be made of food (edible).
2. Entries must be reflective of your chosen title in some manner (e.g., shape, content, title, appearance, etc.).
3. You MUST select a title of a book that has been banned or challenged. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Lists of banned books are available by clicking on links provided on this page, or by consulting printed lists at the Library’s Reference Desk.
Our festivities will include not only edible books but refreshments you will actually want to consume. For more information or to participate in this year’s festival please contact: Joyce Haack, HaackJoyceA@sau.edu; 563-333-6247.
Entry drop off: 7:30am-10:00am
Judging: 10:00am-11:00am
Open to public: 11:00am-2:00pm
Entries need to be picked up by 3:00pm
Entries will be judged by a panel of SAU faculty and staff members.
There will be one winner in each of the following categories:
Most “Punny”, Most Artistic, Best Team Entry, Best Student/Individual Entry, and People’s Choice .
